Christmas dolls 2016

I had so much fun designing and making this years Christmas collection. I am sharing a few of them here.

Christmas 2016

It has been awhile since making a post for my blog. Time passes so quickly and seems faster as I get older.
It is now Christmas time once again. May the joy of the season be with you all through the coming year.

Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.

I love decorating for the changing seasons and will share some of my decor for this year.

My new 2016 offerings.

Autumn carries more beautiful shades of gold than any other season.

Time for looking on to another changing season.

the autumn sun, and brilliant shades of
crimson glowing when a day is done.

Summer time

"Sweet May hath come to love us,
Flowers, trees, their blossoms don;
And through the blue heavens above us
   The very clouds move on."
          - Heinrich Heine

Summer will soon be here once again.
As we make our journey through life; many good memories from the past surface once again.
As I grow older, I cherish those times with family and friends more each day.
I make family DVD's with family photos and mail out once a year at Christmas time. Our family is scattered now as many others are with their jobs and interests.
We must hold on to our family ties and cherish them.  That's what makes us who we are. We must move on as time passes and make our own memories but never forget where we came from.
I have a few of my mother's things that she cherished but with 6 siblings; things left over were few.
I made a dress for a doll with a beautiful tablecloth she left. I think of her when I look at the doll.
The family gatherings on Sundays after church or the fourth of July cook outs were very special as we  reminisced  and laughed as the children played.
We knew we were nearing the day when those special times would end as they will for all of us.
It is time for the next generation to take their turn and make changes they think will make this earth better for them.
I am glad to be alive. The world is such an interesting place. God is good.

Spring and Easter 2016

I was awaken with the wonderful sounds of birds outdoors today. They are so melodious in the early morning hours. I am looking forward to an early walk by the river each morning and enjoying a cup of coffee with a favorite magazine on the porch.
A burst of color will soon be appearing in my garden with spring daffodils already popping out and showing their beauty.

" Spring makes its own statement, so loud
and clear that the gardener seems to be only one
of the instruments, not the composer."
                   Geoffrey B. Charlesworth

Here are some of my creations for spring and Easter.

Feb. 2016

Weary from the dreary snowfalls this winter; I am looking onward to the days becoming warmer now with rays of sun shining through my kitchen window. Of course that brings out the dingy places that need some brightening.
As the lavender springs up and pretty little girls twirling in their Easter dresses takes me back to my childhood and happy days in the sunshine.
I now have daffodils springing up and there will soon be flowers growing again.
I thank the Lord for all the beauty I have to enjoy each and every day. Light up a rose scented candle and dream of warm days in the sun.
Meet Kendra Rose 'My great granddaughter' will turn 1 yr. old next month.
